Great Eastern, health firm Doctor Anywhere bolster venture
The latter has been providing health service to group insurance clients since 2019.
Great Eastern has strengthened its partnership with health-tech firm Doctor Anywhere (DA) to bring general practitioner (GP) consultations to its clients, said a news release.
The move is aligned with customer needs in light of the pandemic. From January to March, DA reported a 41% uptick in total sign-ups for its video consultation service and 89% surge in total calls made amongst the insurer’s group insurance clients.
DA has been the health service provider for Great Eastern’s group insurance customers since August 2019
Since April, policyholders of GREAT SupremeHealth integrated shield plan have been enjoying a $12 consultation fee that covers online and offline GP services. They can also avail of preferential rates for dental services, traditional Chinese medicine, optical services, and other health and wellness products.
If specialist referrals are needed, Great Eastern’s complementary Health Connect service can assist GREAT SupremeHeath policyholders to schedule appointments with any of the doctors in the panel of medical specialists. The service also provides pre-authorisation letters if hospitalisation is needed or to help them with cashless or co-payment arrangements.
GREAT SupremeHealth policyholders can also shop for a range of health and wellness products and services and even book home-based services through DA’s Marketplace platform.
