SGX and CIMB Securities to train more trading reps
The new initiative seeks raise the number of investing traders to meet growing demand.
The partnership will hold a training programme at Singapore Management University, with an online revenue module available through the Singapore Exchange Academy.
"Together with the Financial Training Institute at Singapore Management University (FTI@SMU), SGX and CIMB Securities will offer new TRs a training programme that equip them with the skills to trade professionally and better serve investors’ needs. FTI@SMU will train TRs in providing financial advisory services focusing on assessing and meeting clients’ needs. SGX Academy will also be launching an on-line learning module in May to help TRs prepare for their licensing examination," said SGX and CIMB Securities in a joint release.
CIMB Securities adds that the training initiative will expand its TR base from the current 400 to 600 over the next two years.
