SMU to host Innovation for Financial Services 2013 this October
150 international delegates expected to join.
The international event “Innovation for Financial Services” is coming to Singapore on 24 and 25 October. It will be hosted by the Singapore Management University (SMU) and will bring together practice and though leaders on innovation for the financial services sector.
Around 150 international participants are expected to join this event and share their experiences and knowledge.
Business leaders, (inter)national international experts and policy advisors will be discussing and exchanging the latest trends and research results on mobile payments, business analytics, customer-centricity internationalization and many more topical issues for the financial industry and surrounding market players.
Roy Teo, Head of Technology Risk at Barclays, will welcome the participants on behalf of the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS).
The discussion panel will deal with the international perspectives on innovation for financial services, how international financial centres like Singapore, Luxembourg or Montréal can find complementarities to create synergies.
The panel will be moderated by Dr. Tamara Henderson, Senior Economist in charge of the Bloomberg Brief Asia Economics.
Members of the panel include Dr. Vivekanand Gopalkrishnan, Director of Research at the Deloitte Analytics Institute Asia, Andrew Khaw, Senior Director at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and Dr. Gunter Dufey, Professor Emeritus from the University of Michigan and Member of Faculty at the Business School of the Nanyang Technological University.
There will also be an interactive workshop on “Innovation through analytics and ethnography”. A best paper award will be announced during the gala dinner at Raffles on October 24.
