Chart of the Day: Singapore inbound M&A hits record-high US$27.3b in Q3

Whilst outbound activity slowed down to US$12.9b.

This chart from Thomson Reuters shows the volume of inbound mergers and acquisitions (M&A) rose to a record-high US$27.3b in Q3.

This increased 130.2% and surpassed the annual record level in 2012 of US$23.5b.

Domestic M&A activity also improved 12.3% YoY and hit US$11.3b despite a decrease in domestic transactions.

Meanwhile, outbound M&A hit US$12.9b so far, an 8.5% YoY drop, in line with the 5.9% fall of outbound acquisition within the same period.
