Payments platform startup 2C2P has raised $70.97m (US$52m) in new funding from IFC, Cento Ventures, and Arbor Ventures, the company announced.
The company said that it will use the funding to accelerate the company’s growth by investing in new technologies to enhance its payments platform, hiring local talent, and consolidating market share in Southeast Asia with a goal to expand beyond the region over the next year.
2C2P helps regional businesses accept payments from millions of customers in Southeast Asia.
“With the potential of Southeast Asia’s Internet economy, we felt this was the right time to bring in additional resources so we can strengthen our market leadership position, expand the business, and compete more effectively,” said Aung Kyaw Moe, Founder & Group CEO of 2C2P.
Currently, 2C2P has dual headquarters in Singapore and Bangkok and operates across Southeast Asia, North Asia, the US, and Europe.

Tookitaki, which provides regulatory compliance solutions to the financial services industry, has raised an additional $15.97m (US$11.7m) in its Series A round led by Viola FinTech and SIG Asia Investment, according to a statement.
The extended funding round, which brings its Series A total to $26.21m (US$19.2m), will be used to accelerate research and development and hire talent to drive Tookitaki’s expansion into the US and Europe.
Other investors including Nomura Holdings, Illuminate Financial, Jungle Ventures and SEEDs Capital Pte Ltd also participated in this round.
Founded by former JP Morgan executive Abhishek Chatterjee, Tookitaki has offices in Singapore, India and the US. It offers solutions in the anti-money laundering (AML) and reconciliation space.

Hotel direct booking service provider Travel Prologue has partnered with Vietnam-based travel booking platform VLeisure to deliver live room rates and inventory to B2B channels like travel agencies, wholesalers and corporate travel intermediaries.
Under the partnership, VLeisure is able to provide an open ecology network to its customers, while leveraging on Travel Prologue’s hotel connectivity services and network of hotels such as Mandarin Orchard Singapore, Furama Hotels International and Berjaya Hotels & Resorts.
VLeisure’s technology will deliver “seamless payment solutions and many more efficiency driven modules for wholesalers and agents”.
“An open ecosystem for the travel industry will be the next development in the hotel distribution business. There is no longer a ‘one man wins’ in hotel distribution anymore, making it more of a level playing field,” VLeisure’s CEO Phan Le said.
