DBS launches electronic securities application service
Now customers can subscribe to IPOs even while in bed straight from their smart phones.
Making it easier for investors to subscribe for securities, DBS introduced the mBanking electronic securities application service that will enable customers to make their IPO application via their smart phones while on the go.
First launched on 15 April 2010, DBS’ mBanking service allowed customers to view their banking and credit card accounts, transfer funds and pay bills via their smart phones.
“Our mBanking suite currently has more than 30,000 logins daily. With the mBanking ESA service, our customers will be able to subscribe to IPOs from their mobile phones. We expect the mBanking ESA service to add even greater value to our customers and drive greater usage of our mBanking services,” said Sandeep Lal, Head of Consumer & Internet Banking, DBS Bank.
The application-based mobile banking service is the first in Singapore.
