EZ-Link ties up with Malaysia's Touch n' Go for cross border Combi Card
It will allow users to pay for Singapore ERP fares and Malaysian highway tolls.
Singapore’s EZ-Link Pte Ltd inked deal with Malaysia’s multi-app e-purse Touch ‘n Go to develop a dual currency Combi Card that is slated to launch on Q4 2019.
The card will first allow users to pay for urban mobility in both countries.
“EZ-Link is excited to partner with Touch ‘n Go to make it possible for our people to conveniently pay for electronic road pricing in Singapore, highway tolls in Malaysia and parking as a start, and shopping and dining in the future with just one card,” EZ-Link CEO Nicholas Lee said.
EZ-Link has issued about 30 million CEPAS ez-link cards in Singapore whilst Touch ‘n Go has more than 23 million active users in Malaysia.
“This synergy between Touch ‘n Go and EZ-Link to create a dual currency cross-border combi card will undoubtedly make daily transactions fuss-free for Malaysian and Singaporean consumers with faster, simpler and more secure payment options,” Touch ‘n Go CEO Syahrunizam Tan Sri Samsudin said.
