Government eyes nationwide launch for price comparison app
Price Kaki uses crowdsourced data to compare in-store retail prices and promotions.
Price comparison app Price Kaki will be rolled out across Singapore in the coming months, Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) senior parliamentary secretary Tan Wu Meng said.
First launched by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) in September 2019, Price Kaki uses crowdsourced data to allow consumers to compare in-store retail prices and promotions in a single platform.
CASE piloted the app across supermarkets and hawker centres in Tampines, Toa Payoh and Jurong West starting September last year.
Since its launch, Price Kaki has had almost 15,000 registered users and more than 550,000 crowdsourced entries.
