HDB, JTC, MPA to offer e-invoicing through IMDA’s InvoiceNow
Over two-thirds of government invoices are issued by these agencies.
SG Press Center revealed that the Housing Development Board (HDB), JTC, and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) are now available through IMDA’s InvoiceNow network.
The initiative aims to reduce cost and processing times when transacting with these agencies.
“IMDA has been pioneering the development of digital utilities, such as InvoiceNow, to enable our businesses large and small to transact seamlessly in the digital economy. With the support from HDB, JTC, and MPA, companies on this nationwide InvoiceNow network can now receive e-invoices from these agencies, and benefit from going digital,” said Leong Der Yao, Assistant Chief Executive, Sector Transformation, IMDA.
All in all, HDB, JTC and MPA represent 70% of public sector invoicing. Monthly, agencies have 25,000 business customers and more than 40,000 invoices. The initiative is also a step towards the digitizing of the process for businesses, reduction of carbon footprint and savings of up to $8 per invoice.
