High technology sector raises US$1.7b from equity markets

Singapore’s high-technology sector takes the majority of equity capital markets (ECM) proceeds with 52.5% market share comprised of US$1.7b.

According to Thomson Reuters, real estate followed with a 32.9% market share. It raised US$1.1b, a 62.8% drop from last year.

Underwriting fees for equity deals issued by Singapore-owned companies reached US$76.2m, up 15.4% YoY.

DBS currently leads the fee rankings for Singapore equity issuance with US$21.1m in estimated fee revenue. This comprised 27.7% of the wallet share so far.
