More assets seized from foreigners allegedly linked to money laundering scheme

The total amount of seized assets increased to $2.4b.

Singapore police revealed that they seized more assets from foreigners supposedly involved in laundering proceeds of organised crime such as online gambling and scams, increasing the total seized amount to $2.4b. 

In a statement, the seizure of bank accounts with a total estimated value of over $1.127b, cash which includes foreign money, amounting to above $76m, “68 gold bars, 294 luxury bags, 164 luxury watches, 546 pieces of jewellery, cryptocurrencies of more than S$38 million, and 204 electronic devices such as computers and mobile phones.”

More than $1.242b worth of 110 properties and 62 vehicles, which issued with prohibition of disposal orders. 

The probe against the accused foreign nationals is ongoing, police also said.
