OCBC Bank designates new human resources head
Lee Hwee Boon will assume her new post on 24 June.
Lee Hwee Boon has been appointed as the new chief of OCBC Bank’s human resources, replacing Jason Ho, who will retire on 23 June.
Currently, Lee is the head of OCBC Bank’s Enterprise Banking, middle market and services, global commercial banking. She will assume her new post on 24 June.
Lee has been with the bank since 1993, where she was a trainee bank officer.
In 2020, she started initiating the OCBC small and medium-sized sustainable finance framework, the first of its kind amongst Singapore banks.
The said framework was groundbreaking in allowing small firms to access green loans without complicated frameworks.
Meanwhile, Ho assumed his role for over seven years, where he introduced initiatives such as human resource mobile banking app which gives OCBC Bank employees easy access to human resource services and information in one platform.
He also ensured the safety and wellness of the bank’s 30,000 employees, rolling out various COVID-19 care packages, new policies, and guidelines.
