SG ranks 14th for countries with NFT ownership
Only two in five Singaporean internet users are aware of NFTs.
A press release by Finder's found that, out of 20 countries, Singapore currently ranks 14th for non-fungible token (NFT) ownership.
Only 6.8% of respondents from Singapore currently own NFTs. 11%, meanwhile, have plans to acquire some more, yielding a conservative estimate of a 17.8% adoption rate.
"It’s still very early days for NFTs in Singapore. 41% of Singaporean internet users currently know what NFTs are and we expect adoption to grow with awareness," Finder.com’s Cryptocurrency Editor Keegan Francis said.
Taking the lead in the survey were the Philippines, with 32% of respondents owning NFTs; Thailand, 26.6%; and Malaysia, 23.9%.
Overall, those aged 25 to 34 are the most likely to have NFTs at 12%, followed by those aged 35 to 44 at 9.5%.
Meanwhile, on a gender side, Singapore men at 12% are more likely to own NFTs than women at 6.2%.
More than 28,000 internet users took part in the survey.
