SGX RegCo, ACRA form advisory committee on sustainability reporting
The committee comprises 13 members.
Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) have formed an advisory committee on sustainability reporting led by City Developments Limited’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Esther An.
“Effective ESG integration and disclosure are critical to accelerating global efforts to build a greener and more resilient future for all. I am honoured and humbled to be appointed this important role and I look forward to working with fellow committee members who are respected leaders in their fields,” An said.
Apart from An, there are 12 other members of the committee namely Lam Yi Young (, Singapore Business Federation), Bey Soo Khiang (Royal Golden Eagle Group ), Chan Yen San (KPMG Singapore), Chia Ko Wen (Singlife with Aviva), Fang Eu-Lin (PwC Singapore), Grace Goh Bee Kheng (Temasek International Pte. Ltd), Koh Chin Beng (BDO Singapore), Lawrence Loh (NUS Business School), Max Loh (EY Singapore and Brunei), Uantchern Loh (Black Sun), Helge Muenkel (DBS), and Shinbo Won (BlackRock).
The 13-member committee will provide input on the suitability of international sustainability reporting standards for implementation in Singapore
Apart from the formation of the committee, ACRA and SGX RegCo said they are also developing a roadmap for wider implementation of sustainability reporting for Singapore-incorporated companies, beyond SGX-listed companies.
