Singtel bags $535m green loan
DBS, OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB provided the loan.
Singtel, through its data centre (DC) subsidiaries DCW Pte Ltd and DCKC Pte Ltd, secured a $535m five-year green loan, a first for the company.
In a bourse filing, Singtel named DBS, OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB as providers of the loan as well as their green loan coordinators.
The company will use the loan proceeds to refinance the borrowings and support the operations of DC West and DC Kim Chuan.
“The two data centres must maintain at least a Green Mark Gold Plus certification from Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority as part of the green loan criteria,” Singtel said.
Both have already attained the Green Mark Platinum.
