SRS and SAS launch programme to upskill remisiers in digital strategies
The programme aims to enhance remisiers' ability to engage with clients.
The Society of Remisiers (Singapore) (SRS) and the Securities Association of Singapore (SAS) launched the Remisier Development Programme (RDP) to equip remisiers with advanced digital skills and broader trading and portfolio customisation strategies through specialised courses.
The RDP will also teach remisiers how to leverage artificial intelligence tools for in-depth financial research and utilise social media and digital marketing platforms to enhance client engagement.
Eligible participants under the Institute of Banking and Finance Standards Training Scheme can receive funding of up to 70% of the course fee from the Financial Sector Development Fund. SRS, Singapore Exchange (SGX), and brokers will also provide additional funding.
“In strengthening a key distribution channel in the securities market, the RDP complements ecosystem-wide initiatives for equities market development, including the recent formation of the stock market review group,” Luke Lim, chairman of SAS said.
