Temasek subsidiary launches three-tranche USD bonds offering
It is comprised of a 10-, 20-, and 40-year USD Temasek Bonds.
Temasek Financial (I) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited, on Monday, launched three-tranche offerings of US dollar Temasek bonds, comprising 10-, 20-, and 40-year bonds.
The 10-year T2031-USD Temasek Bond, 20-year T2041-USD Temasek Bond, and 40-year T2061-USD Temasek Bond will be under Temasek Financial’s US$25b Guaranteed Global Medium Term Note Programme.
Net proceeds from the bonds will be provided to “Temasek and its investment holding companies to fund their ordinary course of business,” it said.
The bonds will be offered in the United States only to qualified institutional buyers that are qualified purchasers under Rule 144 of the U.S Securities Act, and outside the US only to non-US persons under Regulation A of the Securities Act.
Temasek said the application will be made for listing and quotation of the bonds on the official list of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. It noted that it has been assigned an overall corporate credit rating of “Aaa” by Moody’s Investors Service, Inc., and “AAA” by S& Global Ratings.
