UOB to facilitate investments of US$300 million into Myanmar over the next 12 months

Its Yangon branch officially opened today.

UOB expects to facilitate US$300 million in foreign direct investments into Myanmar over the next 12 months.

"UOB plans to help its clients invest US$300 million in Myanmar over the next 12 months. These clients,
which include multinational and regional clients based in Europe and Asia, have said investments will be
directed mainly at building factories, hotels and commercial properties," said UOB.

UOB officially opened its Yangon branch today. The bank also said that it has signed two loan agreements with Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar and System-Bilt Myanmar.
