HSBC has appointed as Head of Sales for Global Markets in Singapore, effective immediately.
Mr Singh takes up his role after three years as Head of Corporate Sales in Singapore. This follows a reorganisation of HSBC’s sales business within its Global Markets division. In his enlarged role, Mr Singh will oversee all aspects of HSBC’s sales business, including Institutional FX, Rates and Credit Sales, Wealth Management Sales and Corporate FX and Risk Advisory Sales, according to an HSBC report.
Amit Gupta, Head of Global Markets of HSBC in Singapore, said: “Mohit brings with him a wealth of experience in sales where he has worked to successfully increase Global Markets penetration with our Commercial Banking and Global Banking teams. I am confident he will continue to replicate his success with HSBC’s other key customer groups including Personal Financial Services and Global Private Banking.
Going forward, teams will be built around product groups with segmented client responsibilities. By focusing sales management around customers’ needs, we hope to ensure that HSBC’s customers in Singapore make the most of their business opportunities.”
Mr Singh joined Global Markets at HSBC India in 1996 and has served in a variety of roles in Hong Kong, India and Singapore.
