Now in charge of Indochina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Mr Kaura’s new office will be strategically located in Singapore.
As part of J.P. Morgan's aggressive plans to deepen and expand its treasury management and corporate banking capabilities globally, J.P. Morgan Treasury Services announced the appointment of Ricky Kaura as regional head for the firm's treasury management franchise in Indochina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
According to the announcement, Mr Kaura will be based in Singapore, which is long regarded as an important strategic treasury centre location.
"We are seeing tremendous growth and increased interest in these countries from both our multinational corporate clients and our global financial institution clients," said Simon Jones, Asia Pacific head of Treasury Services at J.P. Morgan. "By centralizing accountability for these countries, we make it so much easier for our clients to do business with J.P. Morgan than with other cash management providers."
Ricky Kaura has been with J.P. Morgan for almost 17 years, with experience in multiple disciplines in senior roles in Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States, and in Japan where he currently is the head of the Treasury Services business, and a member of the Japan Country Management Committee.
“This is a great opportunity for me to leverage nearly two decades of experience to work for our wholesale transaction banking clients, helping them efficiently navigate the region as they expand their operations, develop local supplier relationships, and gain new customers,” said Mr Kaura.
J.P. Morgan Treasury Services processes more than USD$8 trillion in payments every day, with a unique ability to leverage demonstrated expertise as a trusted global treasury services provider to help clients easily and reliably collect, move, concentrate and invest their cash.
