
Lion Global Investors appoints Gerard Lee CEO
Board hires Lee to replace Daniel Chan behind latter's extensive experience in Singapore's fund management businesses.
Lion Global Investors announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Mr Gerard Lee as its CEO with effect from 16 November 2010, according to a Lion Global Investors report.
A highly respected professional in the Singapore investment management industry with 24 years of industry experience, Mr Lee was the CEO of Fullerton Fund Management Company Ltd for the past six years wherein he played a pivotal role in transforming Temasek Holdings’ in-house investment team into a respected third-party asset management company specialising in offering Asian funds to international investors.
Prior to joining Temasek Holdings, Mr Lee was the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Deutsche Asset Management (Asia) Ltd. Before that, Mr Lee was Head of Fixed Income Sales at SBC Warburg. Mr Lee started his career in the investment management industry in 1986 with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (“GIC”) where he was later appointed Head of GIC’s New York office.

Mr Lee is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore.
Out-going CEO, Mr Daniel Chan’s last day with the company will be on 15 November 2010.
