Standard Chartered names Dwaipayan Sadhu as Singapore retail banking head
He was formerly the regional head of products and segments for Singapore, ASEAN and South Asia.
Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Dwaipayan Sadhu as Head of Retail Banking, Singapore where will be responsible for driving the bank’s digital transformation, strengthening the proposition for affluent clients and growing the wealth management and international banking business. Sadhu will also join the bank’s Singapore Country Management Team.
The current head of retail banking, Singapore, Andrew Chia, has been appointed as CEO of Indonesia, subject to regulatory approval.
An industry veteran, Sadhu has been with Standard Chartered Singapore since 2005 where he rose through the corporate ladder to head the digital banking business and the credit cards, deposits and mortgage businesses. He was also in charge of the development of Bonus$aver and Unlimited Card, as well as real-time digital credit cards and loans approval.
In his latest role as Regional Head of Products and Segments for Singapore, ASEAN and South Asia, Dwaipayan oversaw the credit cards, deposits, payments, secured loans and emerging affluent and affluent segment propositions for nine countries in the region.
This appointment will be effective 01 September 2019.
