United Overseas Bank appoints James Koh Cher Siang as Director
He was retired from the Civil Service in 2005 after 35 years of service.
The Board of United Overseas Bank names James Koh Cher Siang as Director as its new director. The Board is satisfied that Mr Koh has the necessary experience and skill to be appointed as an independent director of the Company.
Mr. Koh, 66, was retired from the Civil Service in 2005 after 35 years of service. Last appointment was Controller of Income Tax. Since 2005, served as independent non-executive director of several listed companies, including Singapore Airlines (2005-2011), UOL (2005-2012), CapitaLand and Pan Pacific Hotels and chairman of CapitaMall Trust Management Limited. Also served as director of Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation Ltd (2006-2012), Singapore Cooperative Enterprise and Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities Ltd. Currently Chairman of the MechanoBiology Institute, Singapore Island Country Club and Housing & Development Board, according to a United Overseas Bank report.
