This platform matches part-timers with F&B employers
YY Part Time Jobs app aims to respond to the industry's urgent manpower crunch.
Homegrown platform YY Part Time Jobs app seeks to help users discover part-time, flexible and daily paying jobs with attractive hourly rates. Developed by the YY Hong Ye Group, the platform connects part-timers with employers in the F&B industry looking for extra manpower on short notice, effectively bringing convenience to the recruitment and job-seeking process.
Launched in July, the YY Part Time Jobs app allows employers to list their job vacancies and even specify job details such as time, place and other criteria like relevant skills and years of experience. The app's algorithm then makes sure only relevant candidates are matched with the employers.
"The F&B industry faces the most urgent manpower shortage issues which YY Hong Ye Group hopes to provide a solution to," IT project manager Wendy Wang told Singapore Business Review. "YY Part Time Jobs is open to all industries which are interested to advertise on their platform and they are also looking into supporting the retail, supermarket, sales assistant, logistics, warehousing industries."
Featuring a database of over 32,000 ready-for-hire part-timers, Wang believes that the YY Part Time Jobs app is more than just a jobs-matching platform. "It is a one-stop app where part-timers, besides being able to view the jobs available, can view their time-card at work, their schedule as well as calculate their own salary."
Interested applicants who register for the app who can also follow-up where they will be called for the interview and can even avail of relevant basic training depending on the industry they're applying for.
The app has had more than 15,000 downloads in over 20 days.
