What can entice Singaporeans to visit hospitality venues this Christmas?
Half of them plan to spend an average of $106 on drinking or dining out during the holidays.
Four in five (83%) Singaporeans believe that local hospitality venues need their support during the holidays to help them rise above the impacts of COVID, SevenRooms’ latest research showed.
Most of those planning to visit restaurants, bars, and cafes during the holiday season will spend an average of $106 in these establishments.
[This] would bring more than $431 million to the hospitality industry,” SevenRooms stated.
When selecting which places to go this Christmas, Singaporeans have several considerations.
Most of them (60%) said they will visit a restaurant, bar, or cafe during the festive period if they are giving out Christmas goodie bags, whilst some (30%) said they’d be persuaded to visit hospitality venues if they offer special festive family-booking rates.
Other factors which can push Singaporeans to go to hospitality venues include a special Christmas-themed menu and seasonal cocktails (27%), discounts that can be redeemed in their future visit (26%), and a special Christmas-themed band, event, or experience (25%).
“For savvy operators, there are plenty of ways venues can ensure they’re making every experience meaningful and special for customers, especially this holiday period. Whether it’s a free Christmas goodie bag, personalised offers, or loyalty points, there are opportunities for venues to be strategic to ensure a jolly season of high holiday revenues,” said Paul Hadida, general manager of APAC at SevenRooms.
