Feast on the bounty of the sea at the Singapore Food Festival 2012
Iconic Singaporean gastronomic delights take center stage at the Food Festival Village, one of the event's highlights, at the Waterfront Promenade at Marina Bay.
In a news release, the Singapore Food Festival invites locals and tourists to join a culinary experience. Feast on a smorgasbord of seafood at the Singapore Food Festival Village from 13 to 22 July 2012.
This year's theme is "Seafod Tales of Temasek" and the event will showcase the bounty of the sea in all its glory.
For the first time, the Festival Village will be held at the Promontory at Marina Bay. Guests can sample iconic local dishes from up to 60 stalls.
Savour local culinary delights such as the famous Chilli Crab, Creamy Butter Crab, Rojak with Prawn Paste, Sambal Stingray, Ngoh Hiang Prawn Cracker and many more.
Live cooking demonstrations will also be held as chefs share their secrets to whipping out tasty dishes.
The Indian Restaurants Association will also celebrate the festival by holding a Seafood Mela- an attempt to serve 2,012 curry fish heads at one dinner sitting to break a Guinness World Record.
