Higher sales drove BreadTalk’s profit up 10% to $2.9m in Q2

Growth was also boosted by one-offs.

BreadTalk reported that its net profit grew 10% to $2.9m in the second quarter, driven by higher sales across all its business segments.

The group’s profit growth was also boosted by one-time write-offs related to the closure of two stores in China

Despite its good results, BreadTalk cautioned that its operations in Mainland China remain challenging.

The group declared a one-tier tax-exempt interim dividend of 0.5 cent per share for the first half, which will be paid on 4 September 2015.
