3 ex-nightlife establishments shut down for safety breaches

These establishments had their licenses to serve food revoked and must cease operations.

Three food and beverage outlets, that were previously nightlife establishments, had their license revoked by the Singapore Food Agency due to breaching Safety Management Measures (SMMs).

These breaches include failing to minimise interaction between staff and customers, allowing groups of more than two people to sit together, and playing music.

Eleven premises were also fined between $1,000 to $2,000 for breaching SMMs, including seating groups of customers less than one metre apart, allowing groups of more than two individuals not from the same household to be seated across multiple tables, and allowing alcohol consumption past 10:30 p.m.

Twenty-four individuals were fined $300 for gathering in groups larger than the permitted size while dining out, whilst seven staff were fined $300 for not wearing masks.
