Beer profit almost doubled.
ThaiBev ended the second quarter on a cheery note after its net profit rose 6.2% to $234.9m (THB 5.9b) on back of extremely robust beer sales.
The group’s beer profit rose by a whopping 95% to $6.3m, with robust sales boosted by low raw material costs.
However, its spirits business saw a 4.7% decline in sales revenue. Its food business and non-alcoholic beverage segment also booked higher sales.
The group declared an interim dividend of THB 0.15 per share.
