China coffee giant Luckin Coffee makes Singapore debut
Singapore is the first market in its overseas expansion.
Luckin Coffee opened two stores in Singapore, the first in its planned overseas expansion.
The two stores open at Marina Square and Ngee Ann City, with more in the works
According to Savill’s retail update, the chain will focus on expanding two store formats: takeaway stores that are less than 1,200 sq ft and “relax” store concepts for dining in at least 1,200 sq ft. The Marina Square outlet, with 15 seats, is considered a “relaxed” concept while the Ngee Ann City outlet is for takeaways only. Outlets will also be opening at Guoco Tower, Aperia Mall and Jewel Changi Airport.
Luckin Coffee, also known as the Starbucks of China, is the biggest coffee brand in China.
