In April, F&B sales grew 15.3% YoY.
Food and beverage (F&B) sales grew slower in May, increasing by only 8.5% YoY from a 15.3% YoY uptick in April. Sales value clocked in at $994m.
Of the total sales value, 24.6% was from online sales.
According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), all F&B services industries recorded year-on-year increases in sales in May.
Amongst industries, Food Caterers recorded the largest increase, soaring 56.3% YoY, followed by Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places, which saw a 10.0% jump in sales.
Sales of Fast Food Outlets and Restaurants also rose in May, by 8.3% and 0.2%, respectively.
