SFA recalls fish burger brand with undeclared egg allergen
The product was manufactured by Tenderfresh Fried & BBQ Chicken.
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has ordered the recall of a fish burger brand after discovering that the product contains an egg allergen undeclared on its packaging label.
Under Singapore’s food regulations, food products containing ingredients known to cause hypersensitivity in consumers with food allergies must be declared on food packaging labels.
The product was manufactured by a Kimly unit, Tenderfresh Fried & BBQ Chicken.
“The Company sincerely regrets the incident. Upon notification, it promptly removed the affected product from all retail shelves and is swiftly coordinating its collection,” Kimly said in a bourse filing.
The recall does not have any significant impact on Kimly’s financial position or operational performance.
