SFA suspends Abu Mubarak Mandi Rice licence over hygiene violations

The food operator is suspended for two weeks.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) will suspend the licence of Abu Mubarak Mandi Rice at 300 Tampines Avenue 5 for two weeks starting from 3 September to 16 September.

The suspension follows the licensee’s accumulation of 12 demerit points within a 12-month period for selling unclean food and failing to keep the licensed premises free of infestation. Each offense carried 6 demerit points.

Abu Mubarak Mandi Rice was also fined $3,300, which is part of a $4,700 fine issued by the court in July.

All food handlers working at the suspended premises are also required to re-attend and pass the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 before they can resume work.

The licensee must also ensure all food hygiene officers at the suspended premises, if any, retake and pass the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3.
