
Singapore Polytechnic launches training facility for food manufacturing
The facility will provide training under the institution’s INC.
Singapore Polytechnic (SP) has unveiled its Future Food Lab (FFL) to serve as a training facility for staff and students in the food manufacturing sector.
The FFL will provide training opportunities under SP’s Industry Now Curriculum (INC) where students can learn by working on real industry problems, whilst staff learn emerging technologies.

In a statement, SP said students will delve into different areas, such as conceptualisation, market analysis, in-depth scientific studies, solution processes, and last-mile adoption under the lab’s curriculum.
In addition, the FFL will serve as a co-location facility and house startups researching food valorisation and alternative food sources.
