Six food and beverage premises closed due to safety breaches

Three other premises were fined.

More food and beverage premises have been ordered closed due to failure to comply with safety management measures focused on COVID-19.

Club Mao, Club Bubbery, De Luxy, Kiss Bistro, SK Karaoke Pub and Steamov Restaurant have been temporarily closed, according to a statement from the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment.

This is not the first time Club Mao was ordered closed, having previously violated temporary Covid-19 prevention measures in December. Club Bubbery, on the other hand, was closed due to failing to minimise physical interactions between staff and customers. The rest were penalized for serving alcohol after 10:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Destiny Japanese KTV, Chinatown Seafood Restaurant and Alankar Restaurant were fined $1,000-$,2000 each.
