
Thai Beverage profit soars 55.4% to 9,419m baht
Thanks to the 44% sales growth in international market.
In a release, Thai Beverage's sales revenue for 1H12 was registered at 81,983m baht, up 33.2% from last year's 61,558m baht. EBITDA is 14,599m baht, up 41.7% from last year's 10,304m baht. Net Profit belonging to the Company came in at 9,419m baht, a 55.4% increase from last year's 6, 061m baht.
2Q12 highlights include 35% increase in sales revenue to 41, 377m baht as compared to last year's 30, 641m baht. EBITDA was registered at 7, 755m baht, up 46.5% from last year's 5, 295m baht. Net Profit belonging to the Company came in at 5, 089m baht, an increase of 63.9% from last year's 3, 104m baht.
In the first half of 2012, ThaiBev’s international business reported sales growth of 44%.

•UK & Rest of the World
–Sales revenue continued to grow 13%from Scotch whisky sales and other new products introduced into key markets
•Asia exclude China
–Good performance was mainly driven by Chang Beer in ASEAN market, with an increase in sales value of 150%
•YLQ (Chinese spirits in China)
–Sales and margin of Chinese spirits continued to improve from better mix of mid and high end products
•USA
–This region’s sales revenue continued to improve by 20% mainly from the growth of Scotch whisky & Chang Beer
