Here’s how Riverstone could dodge the healthcare gloves oversupply in 2017
Competition is starting to heat up.
Even though the demand is deafening for healthcare gloves, the cleanroom products firm cannot expect smooth sailing in the coming years.
According to analysts from DBS, the door for oversupply in the coming years is still ajar, and increasing competition could hurt Riverstone’s earnings.
“The influx of healthcare gloves beyond 2017 could threaten Riverstone’s market share and pricing power if it fails to advance on the technological front,” DBS said.
Meanwhile, DBS added that a global economic slowdown would not spare cleanroom sales, leading to a decline in spending and manufacturing activity in the HDD industry.
“Although Riverstone has been gradually reducing its exposure to HDDs, down from historical highs of up to 70%, they still make up c.50% of Riverstone’s cleanroom portfolio today,” DBS added.
