Raffles Med unveils maiden clinic in Japan
It will cater to locals and expatriate patients.
Singapore's largest private healthcare provider is testing the waters for new growth areas as it launches its very first operating clinical facilities in Herbis Osaka, Kitaku in Osaka City.
According to a report by OCBC, the 5,400 square feet medical centre RafflesMedical Osaka will be operated by the group's subsidiary Raffles Japanese Clinic along with Socion Healthcare Management Ltd, its Japanese partner.
"This announcement comes after the group had recently acquired International SOS (MC Holdings) Pte Ltd, which operates 10 clinics in China, Vietnam and Cambodia," OCBC said.
Meanwhile, OCBC said the recent developments does not assure a substantial contribution to Raffles Medical Group's earnings.
