Religare Health Trust launches sprawling Gurgaon Clinical Establishment in India
Its fourth in the country's NCR.
SGX Mainboard-listed Religare Health Trust (RHT) has announced that the Gurgaon Clinical Establishment (Gurgaon CE), one of RHT’s portfolio assets, had its official opening launch on 1 May 2013. The Gurgaon CE accounted for 26% of the total portfolio value of RHT, based on valuations undertaken in connection with RHT’s initial public offering in October 2012.
The Gurgaon CE, operated under the name of Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), is located in the second largest city of the rapidly expanding Indian state of Haryana and in close proximity to Delhi’s sprawling metropolis. It is a multi-super speciality, care hospital with a comprehensive team of clinicians and patient care programmes, supported by advanced technology and medical research solutions.
Mr Gurpreet Dhillon, Chief Operating Officer of RHT says, “With the official launch of the Gurgaon Clinical Establishment, RHT now has 11 fully operational Clinical Establishments, of which 4 are in India’s National Capital Region, which is the world’s second largest agglomeration with a population of approximately 22 milllion people. We are excited about the prospects for the Gurgaon CE which occupies a very attractive location in one of the most developed and affluent cities in India. We are working together with Fortis Healthcare Limited, one of the leading healthcare service providers in India, to establish the Gurgaon Clinical Establishment as a world class medical facility."
With 450 beds installed, and operational at launch, FMRI aims to explore new frontiers in healthcare using a multi-disciplinary approach to clinical diagnosis, interventions and treatment outcomes.
