How Singapore is positioning itself as a healthcare hub

Initiatives such as the Advanced and Integrated Manufacturing for Sustainable Growth (AimSG) platform and Healthier SG will help position Singapore as an appealing healthcare hub, GlobalData said.
In a report, GlobalData said that AimSG has been paving the way for more international collaborations that can accelerate the AI-driven revolution in Singapore.
In 2023, Singapore has witnessed 10 partnership deals in the medical devices sector, a commendable pace after 12 similar partnerships in 2022.
Recently, a South Korean medical AI company, Lunit Inc., partnered with NTT DATA Singapore to introduce an AI-driven X-ray solution to Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital.
“Singapore's public hospitals are leading a transformative shift in the healthcare realm by integrating AI into the medical imaging process. This integration underscores the importance of enhanced international collaborations, which has played a crucial role in propelling rapid advancements in emerging technologies and facilitating improved data-sharing capabilities within the healthcare sector,” Shreya Jain, Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData, said.
