Raffles Medical ramps up services amidst COVID-19 outbreak

A virus kit with masks, sanitisers, and vitamins can be ordered online.

Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, Raffles Medical Group said there has been a significant increase in patients seeking remote advice via teleconference through its digital platform RafflesConnect, according to an announcement.

To address the outbreak, it has launched two types of ‘Virus Protect’ kits that are available for order online. The kits contain either surgical or KF94 masks, a hand sanitiser and vitamin C. Patients can also have their prescribed medication delivered directly to their doorstep.

To extend the group’s reach to patients, a fifth executive health screening centre at Waterway Point was added, with flexibility for patients to have select laboratory tests done at home via order from RafflesHealth e-store.

Whilst the group’s new Shanghai hospital opening preparations are underway, given disruptions from the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the hospital’s opening date will hinge on when normalcy returns. OCBC Investment Research added that prior guidance was a phased opening in H12020.
