Hilton finally arrives in Manila
A long time coming.
According to a release, Hilton Worldwide today signed a management agreement with Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. to manage Hilton Manila in Newport City in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. The agreement will bring the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts hotel to Manila.
Scheduled to open in 2014, the 350-room Hilton Manila is located on Newport Boulevard next to Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and is 3.5 kilometers away from Manila's central business district, Makati.

Directly opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Hilton Manila is located in Newport City, where Manila's largest road transportation hub and several multinational companies are situated. Within four kilometers of Manila's main business districts, the hotel will be developed by Alliance Global Group, Inc. and Genting Group, and connect to an 30,000 square meter entertainment and hospitality complex.

Based in Manila, Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. is a joint venture between Alliance Global Inc. and Genting Hong Kong Limited. The 10-storey hotel will offer one all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar and lobby lounge.
It will also have a fitness club, an indoor pool, a spa, a ballroom and other function and meeting space as well as a car park. As the nation's capital, Manila is a major gateway to the Philippines and a government, business, finance and entertainment hub.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport hosts both international and domestic flights and is the country's busiest airport.
