Crystal Cruises' winning streak continues, voted best luxury cruise line for the 17th time
The wholly-owned NYK subsidiary was picked by both the US and UK editions of Conde Nast Traveler magazine and holds the distinction of having won the award more than any other cruise line, hotel, or resort in history.
Considered one of the highest honors in hospitality, the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards celebrate the best-of-the-best hotels, airlines, cruise lines, cities, rental car companies, and islands. More than 26,000 subscribers voted in the 2010 survey. Travelers evaluated cruise lines on their activities/facilities, cabins, crew/service, design/layout, food/dining, itineraries, and shore excursions to determine the overall score. The full list of travel awards is published on the magazine’s website and in its November 2010 issue.
“To win one Condé Nast Traveler award is truly gratifying. To win 17 times is a tribute to Crystal Cruises’ outstanding people, who consistently exceed our guests’ expectations with exceptional service and decidedly memorable Crystal experiences,” says Gregg Michel, president, Crystal Cruises.
Attesting to the consistency of its luxury travel experience, in 2010, Crystal was voted the “World’s Best Large-Ship Cruise Line” by the readers of Travel + Leisure (U.S.) for a 15th consecutive year, and “Favourite Cruise Line - Large Ship” by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller (U.K.), as well as top honors from trusted travel agent consortiums and travel trade publications. Renowned for their service, space, quality, and choices, Crystal Cruises’ two stylish ships, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, were voted the No.1 and No.2 mid-sized ships in the world by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine (U.S.) and earned the top two spots at Cruise magazine in Japan.
