Genting Singapore names new CEO
New CEO Tan Hee Teck has been the firm’s president since 2010.
Resort firm, Genting Singapore Limited, appointed Tan Hee Teck as the new CEO after serving as the company’s president and chief operating officer (COO) for 12 years.
In its announcement, Genting Singapore disclosed that its nominating committee and board members found that Tan has the qualifications and experience for the post.
As Genting Singapore’s new CEO, Tan will implement the board’s approved strategies, manage, and develop the firm’s businesses and lead the management team of the company.
Aside from his COO experience, Tan is also CEO of Resorts World at Sentosa Limited since 2007, where he also became chairman in 2015. One of his notable works was the successful bidding of Integrated Resort at Sentosa in 2006.
In a separate announcement, Genting Singapore also designated the following posts:
- Chan Swee Liang Carolina has been reappointed as the Lead Independent Director for another three-year term.
- Chan has been appointed as Chairman of the Nominating Committee (NC) in place of
- Jonathan Asherson will remain as a member of the NC.
- Hauw Sze Shiung Winston has been appointed as a Member and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee (RC) in place of Chan. Chan has ceased to be a member of the RC.
- Ong Jinq Her has been appointed as the Company Secretary in place of Liew Lan Hing.
