GlobalTix launches single e-ticket for all tourist spots
Tourists will just need to scan a QR code to get their ticket.
Technology provider GlobalTix launched an omni-channel ticketing solution for tourism establishments, aggregating all attraction tickets into one single e-ticket made accessible via a singular QR code, according to an announcement.
The integrated solution which aims to cover travellers’ entire needs, encompasses point-of-sales and direct online bookings, and connects to a network of over 2,000 travel agents.
Using a cloud-based software, GlobalTix moves attraction owners and niche operators to tap a growth opportunity: the increasing demand for greater travel convenience via electronic ticketing.
According to a study by research company Phocuswright, two in five trip bookings are made using mobile applications. However, 80% of tours and activities globally still continue to be booked offline.
For $53 a month, attraction owners will have access to a global distribution network of over 2,000 travel partners including TripAdvisor, Voyagin, Ctrip and Expedia. Operators will also be able to determine unique pricing for different agents so as to maximise revenue.
In addition, GlobalTix will assist in companies’ marketing analytics.
Within the e-ticketing solution, owners will be able to consolidate both online and offline sales records in a single platform, whilst market insights in travel, utilisation and forward purchase patterns can be accessed via the platform.
Theme park NERF Action Xperience is one of the establishments already operating on GlobalTix’s e-booking.
