Gov’t reports 6.31 million tourist arrivals in 2022

More than six million tourists entered Singapore from January to December 2022 compared to a year before as the Lion City loosened its restrictions, the Singapore Tourism Board data showed.
The average length of stay for a tourist is 5.04 days which is down 77.5% from 2021.
Visitor arrivals peaked in December with 931,400 visitors that entered the market.
From January to September 2022, tourism receipts reached $8.96b, up 653% from 2021. Indonesians posted the highest amount ($1.1b), followed by Indians ($703m), and Australians ($633m).
Of the total amount of tourist receipts, shopping recorded $1.75b, accommodation posted $1.95b, SEG with $1.57b, and food & beverage services with $756.25m.
