Hoteliers expect happy days ahead

The accommodation industry predicts higher business activity until September 2012.

According to the Business Expectations Survey for the services sector, a net weighted balance of 18% of firms reported a positive business outlook.

The accommodation industry also foresees higher turnover and manpower demand for the period of April to June 2012 compared with January to March 2012.

The Business Expectations Survey for the services sector, conducted quarterly by the Singapore Department of Statistics, covers some 1,500 enterprises in wholesale trade, retail trade, transport & storage services, accommodation, food & beverage services, information & communications services, financial & insurance services, real estate, business services and recreation, community & personal services.
