Marina Bay Sands, UOB, and STB partner to boost Marina Bay precinct
It aims to elevate Marina Bay’s status as a top lifestyle and business hub.
Marina Bay Sands, United Overseas Bank (UOB), and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to elevate the Marina Bay precinct.
The collaboration will focus on promoting Marina Bay as a vibrant destination with a diverse range of experiences. They will work together to showcase the precinct's hotels, attractions, entertainment venues, retail outlets, and dining establishments.
This initiative builds upon an earlier groundbreaking partnership forged between the three entities in the first quarter of 2024.
The initial partnership, announced in January, featured the "Masterpieces. Made in Singapore" marketing campaign and the "The Legend of the Dragon Gate - Drone Show by the Bay" drone display, amongst other engaging activities. Additionally, 26 precinct partners collaborated to offer over 50 exclusive experiences for UOB cardholders across Singapore and several Southeast Asian countries.
The decision to collaborate stems from STB's positive tourism forecast for 2024, presented at the recent Tourism Industry Conference. Additionally, international visitor arrivals in Q1 2024 reached 93% of pre-COVID levels in 2019.
