Not fast enough: Ticket sales slump slightly in Singapore Grand Prix 2014

Over 84,454 tickets were sold for the weekend.

The cars were fast, but the tickets weren’t, as ticket sales slumped slightly in this year’s edition of the Singapore Grand Prix.

According to promoter Singapore GP,  over 84,454 tickets were sold this year, a slight decline compared to more than 87,500 in 2013.

However, this year’s Grand Prix still recorded the third highest attendance ever, with a total of 253,362 visitors at the Marina Bay Street Circuit over the three-day sold out weekend.

Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag this year, while Red Bull pair Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo completed the podium by finishing second and third respectively.
