Singapore, Hong Kong tourism boards join forces ahead ATB commencement
Both destinations have implemented hygiene, safety certification programmes.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have teamed up for the first time ever to welcome the launch of the Hong Kong-Singapore Air Travel Bubble (ATB), ahead of the first flights leaving on 22 November.
The Hong Kong-Singapore ATB is a bilateral, all-purpose, and quarantine-free arrangement.
Both destinations have put in place city-wide certification programmes for hygiene and safety, with the HKTB rolling out the Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme to ensure that every stop of the visitors’ journey is covered with anti-epidemic measures.
On the other hand, Singapore has awarded the national mark of excellence SG Clean to businesses, including tourism establishments, across the country that meet its high standards of hygiene and sanitisation.
Cathay Pacific will facilitate the ATB for Hong Kong, whilst Singapore Airlines will do the same for Singapore.
